When the US Army goes racing, they pay Tony Schumacher to slather brown and yellow stickers all over himself. When the Australian Department of Defense went racing, they hired Starr Performance (warning: mostly really crummy build pics) to take a vehicle iconic of Anglo armies worldwide, in this case a Land Rover Infantry Interim Mobility Vehicle, and build it into a six-wheel, self-professed burn out vehicle to conduct demonstrations at high-performance motorsport events. Riiight
Armygeddon engine
Armygeddon packs a Chevy 7.0-liter C5R block with LS6 heads, fed by a Whipple 3.3-liter supercharger for 898 hp, as well as a ludicrously beefy, largely custom drivetrain to allow it to melt those 24-inchers at will. Torque is well over 1,100-lbs.ft.; wed bet its not easy finding a four-wheel dyno on which to measure that.

For this years Summernats, the 2005-era olive drab-plus-flames paints been ditched in favor of a very Desert Storm-style tan, which is totally appropriate. Boo-yah.
