The range capability of electric cars has crept up in the past few years.
Example, the original Nissan LEAF could cover 109 miles on a single charge. The second generation model - due late 2013 - will push that to 124 miles.
However, a pure electric Range Rover will go several leaps further with enough battery power to drive from Lands End to John OGroats without having to stop for a recharge.
Thats 874 miles in all and the best thing is the retrofitted electric SUV converted by Liberty Electric Cars could become available in 2014.

"I can tell you that there will be a vehicle that will do Land's End to John O'Groats on a single charge next year," said Ian Hobday, CEO of Liberty Electric Cars.
Price, power output, acceleration, economy and other key details have not been revealed yet.
Jaguar Land Rover has been toying with a plug-in hybrid version of its Range Rover the Range_e - for some time, however it is unclear when or if it could come to market.

Liberty Electric Cars Electric Range Rover 2The Liberty boss believes that other electric cars will continue to improve range over coming years, a point which has proved to be a stumbling block for many buyers.
Commenting on the electric car industry in general, Hobday added: If I have to forecast where were going to be, right now were at 200 to 250 miles without too much trouble. We will be at 400 to 500 miles within two or three years.
"Battery-based energy storage for electric vehicles will be capable of delivering everything that a tank of petrol or diesel can deliver within two or three years."
