Time is running out to place your order for a new Defender!

Thinking of ordering a new Defender to your own specification before UK production of the model ends in December? Make sure you get your order in by June 26 at the latest. That’s the date for last orders, say Land Rover dealers we’ve spoken to.

Why so early? There’s currently about a six-month wait between a dealer placing an order and a customer taking delivery of a new Defender, so June 26 is when Land Rover will need to start fixing the production order for the final month of Defender manufacturing at Solihull.

Initial indications from our trade sources suggest that interest in the Defender Celebration Series is very high too, particularly for the Ŗ28k Heritage Edition and the Ŗ62k Autobiography. But Land Rover says it’s too early to confirm (or deny) reports that some models have already sold-out.

The Final Edition?
And finally... Following on from the news in our Feb 2014 issue predicting a run of Defenders with 503bhp 5.0 supercharged V8 power from the Range Rover Sport, we now hear they could be called the Final Edition.
