Central European Land Rover
& Military Vehicle Meeting
7-9 July 2006, Hungary

The Hungarian Military Vehicle Enthusiasts Group along with the Hungarian Land Rover Association are preparing for a meeting in Hungary next year. We are inviting all Military Vehicle enthusiast and Land Rover owners to bring along their vehicles. Hungarians love Land Rovers, and would love to see "what the other side had".

The venue will be in the Csaroda area of North East Hungary. This delightful and unspoilt corner of the country is right against the border with the Ukraine. Drivers will be able to roam around more than 1,000 hectares of off-road tracks at their leisure. Greenlaning was never so good. This area was during the cold war the border to the soviet union and was closed to all but very few people. The iron curtain can still be seen as well as some of the watch towers, it is a chance to see history as in a few years time this will all be gone.

Accommodation will be camping in the Csaroda countryside, so don’t forget the matches! For those who do, there are local shops, and the nearby town of Vásárosnamény boasts a supermarket. There is also the chance to have bed and breakfast in the village or in the nearby town for between 20 to 25 euros per person or a hotel for 35 to 45 euros per night including breakfast.

The whole event, entrance and camping, will be FREE OF CHARGE to all those attending. In addition prizes will be awarded to best of the different classes of vehicle.

Date: Friday 7 July to Sunday 9 July 2006.
