Land Rover is pleased to announce the Launch of the New Discovery 3 / LR3 Armoured.

With an outstanding breadth of capability and the latest smart enabling technology, the multi-purpose Discovery 3 / LR3 Armoured is the latest state of the art, all purpose armoured vehicle from Land Rover.

Developed with our armouring partner Centigon the New Discovery 3 / LR3 Armoured, like other Land Rover armoured vehicles is discreetly armoured making it virtually indistinguishable from the original.

Based on an entry level base vehicle the New Discovery 3 / LR3 Armoured provides full off road capability, flexible seating for 5 people and a 500KG payload.

As with all Land Rover vehicles rigorous testing is an integral part of our engineering process. Specific modifications are carried out to the base vehicle to accommodate the additional mass of the armour and to maintain optimum ride and handling. These include:

up-rated front and rear brake discs and callipers
up-rated air suspension springs
up-rated dampers
larger diameter front and rear anti-roll bars and bushes

QinetiQ, a globally recognised independent organisation for blast and ballistic testing, has certified the New Discovery 3 / LR3 Armoured vehicle in accordance with EN 1522 level FB6.
