New Land Rover concept might be named LRX!

Land Rover recently teased us with a photo of a new 4x4 concept, which is expected to debut at the North American International Auto Show in January. We checked the UK trademark office records and found that Land Rover applied for the name 'LRX' in July. LRX could be the name of the concept and might also be the name of the production model too. However, we're not sure about this because when the concept photo was released we noticed a badge or logo on the rear or the vehicle, traditionally where Range Rover lettering is applied. We zoomed in and found what look like Range Rover letters (photo above). Could be. Or maybe Land Rover lettering applied in Range Rover style. This is a computer generated image so initial design proposals could have this image wearing Range Rover lettering as it certainly has similar RR design cues. So maybe Land Rover LRX or perhaps Range Rover LRX. We didn't have a chance to see the video of this concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show so we can't confirm any of this. Either way we're excited to see the concept this January.
